I have done some walking, and I did try a Zumba DVD – and I love the dance moves… very fun and invigorating. But honestly, after listening to ‘zumba Zumba ZUMBA’ and the same beat for 15 minutes, I had had quite enough of it and turned it off. It just got so annoying. I will have to find a different DVD. Surely there is some other music and beat that I could Zumba to!
I took part in HBBC 2012 over the past several weeks and was lucky to win a pair of Pro Compression Marathon socks during one of the Twitter chats. They arrived yesterday so this morning I put them on, first thing! Love love love. Thanks to Amanda, again, for the challenge and all of the work she put into it.
I have been very busy in my kitchen this week, doing food prep and working on some new recipes because a lot of my go-to meals are not allowed on this Whole30 Paleo Challenge I am doing right now. No protein powders allowed, no 'faux' baking using almond or coconut flours. And I am trying to find new ways to eat eggs… this Sweet Potato and Flax EggCake recipe came from an experiment… rather good too! I thought it was going to be an omelet but it came out more like a pancake so I went with it!
And I am still loving these ‘healthy bowls’ too. This one has a cut up apple, some flax, some hemp, raisins, and cinnamon, with a couple of tablespoons of unsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze stirred into the mix. Tasty and filling.
I started my new part time job yesterday. I have done 5 training sessions and yesterday was my first time out on my own. I am working as a receptionist at a couple of different Weight Watchers meetings and I love it so far! This little leather-bound book that I got in a giveaway from Angie Newton a few months ago is just the perfect little record book/journal for my work notes. It says believe on the front.. and I love it.
Did you enter our giveaway for a Long-Sleeved Compression Shirt from Tommie Copper?

What's making you smile today?
Do you Zumba? Any good DVD recommendations?
Ooo, jealous of the compression socks! I have really been wanting some--but they're so expensive!
ReplyDeleteI KNOW! I entered ever giveaway I could find and finally won some through a Twitter chat. I have been wearing them all day!
DeleteI LOVE Pro Compression socks, they are so fun and colorful. Plus they make my calves SO happy!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors too. And yes, I agree, my legs feel great!
DeleteI always thought of trying Zumba, but am always worried if I'll be the oldest one there! Cool pink socks! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Katrin. Let me know if you do go and try it out.
ReplyDeleteJust saw this hit my email this Saturday morn.. LOVE those compression socks - so cute!!!! Hey, you did some moving so that is better than none!!! :) Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your job! I guess it's back to work for both of us. I could see you being an amazing addition to a Weight Watchers group. And I love the journal. I have a crystal bead bracelet that supposed to mean 'believe' and I wear it frequently. I love looking at it and reminding myself to live the word. Hope you're having a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI like the journal a lot. Congratulations on the new job. It sounds like one that you will be a perfect fit for!
