A mess of growth on the keel when we first came out of the water. Those white round things are eel eggs - no wonder I don't swim in the ocean!
The Captain rigs up a ladder for us to go up and down into the boat.
Dinner in the cockpit after the first day's work.
Today is The Captain's birthday... and our original plan had been to have a golf day. But we both agreed we were just too tired and decided to put it off till we can really enjoy it.
So, he had cake for breakfast and off we went, into the city, to do some exploring and shopping and snacking and he had his favorite Chinese lunch... we both thoroughly enjoyed the leisure to do nothing and anything. Back on board, we had a really nice BBQ for his birthday dinner.
I have a run planned for Friday morning - going to skip my Weight Watchers meeting - and The Captain will start washing the boatyard dust off the boat... life can get back to normal!
I did see on Words to Run By, that Sara has named me to do a 7 Links post... and I will look more closely at that over the weekend. Promise, Sara. :)
Happy Birthday to Captain!! sounds like a wonderfully relaxing day after some hard work :) Hope you enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Mr. Captain! I know you will get to the links when you can - I mean, come on, not like you have a sailboat to run or anything! ;) I love your life! But, I swear, I am NOT a stalker! I want to own a boat someday - your meal looks fabulous -- I can't imagine being able to eat on board every night. That is truly awesome. I hope you enjoy the weekend and the rest of Captain's birthday - best wishes to you both!
