It's Been a Full Day

Fabulous day.   I.am.tired.

We went into the City to take care some errands and then visited our favorite downtown park to check out the Spring flowers... things are somewhat behind as we had a taste of real winter this year, but there are baby goats at the Children's Farm and I always love to watch them.

Then we had our picnic lunch on the waterfront, and enjoyed watching the dogs running and playing in the off-leash area and some noon runners, too.  It was really windy there today so I was really applauding their efforts.

After we ate, we headed up to a local lake and walked the 10 km trail around it.  We got in just under 2 hours and I made sure to stretch my legs for several minutes and drink some water, too.  No leg cramps for me tonight.  Was so nice to be out, even if we did have a few spits of rain the last couple of kilometers.

Tonight's supper was very simple... some cooked farro over a bed of spinach leaves, topped with a mixture of sardines in mustard, fat free Miracle Whip, carrots, cucumbers, onions, green peppers, and tomatoes.  Mmmmm.

Going to be great to put my feet up and read some more of John Stanton's Running Start to Finish.

  1. Sound like a great trail run--and your dinner looks delicious! I've never tried farro before but obviously I need to!
